Live EagleCam

A hidden video camera captures the lives of this celebrated eagle family. Please click on the link below to watch the live video.

Please note: The quality and availability of streaming video is based on user traffic. At times of heavy user traffic, we may need to impose limits on viewing time and the number of users.

Currently we have thousands of viewers watching the eagles each day, so you may notice some "freezing" or extra buffering. So that more viewers can share in the viewing of the eagles, we have reduced the viewing duration to 5 minutes.

Why can't I connect?
If you are having trouble connecting to the LiveCam, it may be due to one of the following:

  • All sessions are busy. So that our many thousands of visitors can enjoy this feature, we are limiting the individual connections to the live footage to 5 minutes. So, if you can't seem to connect, please wait and try again.
  • The signal has been disrupted. If all you see is a blue screen, there may be an issue with the LiveCam feed. The support team will try to restore the stream as soon as possible.
  • You need a recent version of Windows Media Player. You may download it for free by clicking on the Windows Media logo on this page.

Why did my session end?
So that our many thousands of visitors can enjoy this feature, we are limiting the individual connections to the live footage to 5 minutes. So, if you can't seem to connect, please wait and try again.

Why is the picture quality so poor?
The signal from the LiveCam is adversely affected by frigid temperatures. On particularly cold days, or when there has been ice, the quality of the stream may be worse. However, as the temperatures warm up, the stream's quality should improve.

The quality of the streaming video is also affected by heavy traffic. Currently we have thousands of viewers watching the eagles each day, so you may notice some "freezing" or extra buffering. At times of heavy usage, we may need to limit viewing times and the number of users.
